Noises is a beautifully crafted noise generator instrument by AudioThing. It captures the textures and character of real-world noise sources — tape hiss, vinyl crackle, old machinery, rain, and much more — and turns them into playable, expressive instruments.
I've been spending some time with it and made a bunch of presets that I'm pretty happy with. They cover a range of moods and textures: some are ambient and meditative, others are gritty and industrial, and a few are just plain weird.

To install, unzip the archive and drop the preset files into your Noises user presets folder. On macOS that's typically:
~/Library/Application Support/AudioThing/Noises/Presets/UserEnjoy the noise.
